Sliding vs Swing Doors

If you are unsure as to whether or not you would like a swing door or a sliding door, here are some of the differences. Sliding doors are common in areas where there is a space constraint, but advancements in the hardware as of late have provided customers with a great looking, easy to maintain sliding doors. Swing doors are less expensive and offer more configurability, if there is enough space, as our frame-less shower doors swing both in and out. What is the difference between frameless and framed shower doors?

Frameless shower doors are made from 10mm thick glass, allowing the glass to support itself with very little hardware required. Framed doors are made from thinner glass and require aluminum frames to support the glass.

Can you make any shower enclosure in any orientation/design?

Yes, there are some limitations in the hardware but generally speaking we can make any orientation or design you would like. We would be happy to help you work through any questions you might have.

How do I make my glass easier to clean?

Over the last number of years, there have been advancements in the glass coating industry. City Glass uses one of the premier glass coatings that comes with a lifetime warranty. It creates a covalent bond with a hydrophobic coating on your glass, which allows water and soap scum to bead off the glass, leaving your investment in pristine condition.  We can also add a hydrophobic coating to your existing glass, contact us for more information.
